Reading from a text file.

Postby Yngve » Mon Jan 25, 2016 11:49 am

I'm subtitling a video clip, and have the lyrics in a text file without any timing information. I know I could copy and paste line by line, but that's a bit of a chore. Is it possible to load the whole text and add the timing as I play the clip? I can alter the file as needed, of course.

This may be important in the future as I may need to do the same thing with some lengthier transcriptions of a series of interviews.

Of course!

1. Start SWXE.
2. Click File/Load subititle... (Ctrl+O).
3. Select "Plain text (*.txt)" as filter.
4. Select your text file and click open.
5. Ready!
